Over the last 3 weeks or so I have been looking more carefully at the daily deviations. I have really just been wanting to get more into the deviantART community etc so have been commenting more and viewing all the old stuff. There are some amazing pieces on here and I've had a mind opening experience. However with this has brought a lot of criticisms and questions into mind. The main one is the old timer "Is deviantART full of porn?" Over the past few days a lot of the daily deviations and favorite pieces have been those portraying naked women. Don't get me wrong or anything I love naked women its just that the comments, the fact they're not commenting on the quality, lighting, or composition of the photo.

I have also noticed that the number of daily deviations given to 3d work is tiny! I'm sorry but a lot more work, time and effort goes into creating a model than just taking a picture of woman naked (was going to go with the whole model - model thing lol) or a picture of a swan (what the hell!!). Yes this is a bit of jealousy showing through but thats why artists display work, to get recognition and to express themselves in a way others can understand.

This is a bit of a rant at dA but just needed to express it and see if its just me thinking this way?
